Narendra Modi is currently on a two-day visit to Gujarat, Modi participated in an event commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. Additionally, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects valued at over 5,000 crores in Bodeli, Chhota Udepur.
The event, organized to mark the 20th anniversary of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, was addressed by Prime Minister Modi. He emphasized that this event is not merely about branding; it signifies a strong bond between him and the seven crore citizens of Gujarat.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi stated that Vibrant Gujarat has grown into a symbol of progress. When he initiated this summit, some central ministers were initially reluctant to participate. There were attempts to disrupt the investment environment, with threats made to discourage investors from putting their money into Gujarat.
Prime Minister Modi further revealed that he invited other states to participate during that period. He encouraged states to set up stalls at the event and reap the benefits. States like Haryana, Odisha, and several others seized this opportunity for their advantage.

During his address at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, Prime Minister Modi also remembered the Godhra incident. He recalled the violence that erupted in Gujarat following the incident. At the time, despite having limited experience as Chief Minister, he maintained unwavering faith in the people of Gujarat. He acknowledged that some individuals had ulterior motives and were intent on tarnishing Gujarat’s image. However, he and his government made the necessary decisions to lift Gujarat out of this negativity.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized that those pursuing their agenda were interpreting events according to their own perspective. They propagated the idea that Gujarat would witness an exodus of youth, businesses, and industries. There was a concerted effort to discredit Gujarat on the global stage. The narrative that Gujarat would never recover prevailed. In the face of this crisis, Prime Minister Modi made a resolute commitment to lead Gujarat out of it, regardless of the challenges.
